Summary:

• Twilight lived in Canterlot with her parents and brother Shining Armor. As a filly, she developed a love for magic and upon tapping into her great magical ability, became Princess Celestia's apprentice.

• Twilight became concerned about the reawakening of the evil Nightmare Moon, but Celestia seemingly ignored her warning and send her to Ponyville to prepare the Summer Sun Celebration. She met many ponies, but she hated the experience

• Nightmare Moon indeed returned and captured Celestia. Twilight discovered that only the Elements of Harmony could stop her. She and her ‘friends’ searched for them and together, they used the magic of friendship to reawaken the Elements and revert Nightmare Moon back into her original form of Princess Luna. Twilight also chose to remain in Ponyville with her new-found friends.

• After spending several months strengthening her friendships with her friends, Twilight and her friends were told by Celestia of the return of Discord, the God of Chaos. He stole the Elements of Harmony and lured the six into maze where they were broken by him. Twilight gave up until Celestia sent her back her friendship letters. Twilight restored her friends and they defeated Discord.

• Twilight, not having a weekly friendship report, became afraid of being separated form her friends and tried to create a problem to solve It went haywire, but Twilight's friends stood up for her and Celestia allowed her to remain in Ponyville.

• Twilight brother and foalsitter were getting married, but Twilight noticed something wrong. 'Cadence' was really an evil Changeling queen and Twilight, along with the real Cadence, stopped the wedding and Cadence and SHining Armor banished away the evil Changelings.

• Twilight and her friends were to investigate the sudden reappearance of the legendary Crystal Empire. They discovered that the ruler, the evil King Sombra, still had a grip on the ponies so Twilight organized a fair to restore hope to the people. She had to track down the legendary Crystal Heart to complete it however and she along with Spike. Though she found it, she ended up tracked and had Spike finish the task.

• Twilight was sent a book and unknowingly changed her friends Cutie Marks. She saw the damage and realized her mistake, feeling devastated by what she had done. She realized how to undo the spell by having her friends help the one who their Cutie Mark got switched with, restoring it. Twilight completed the unfinished spell, allowing her to become an Alicorn and be named a princess by Celestia.

• When summoned to the Crystal Empire, Twilight’s crown was stolen by Sunset Shimmer, a unicorn and Celestia’s former apprentice. She escaped via mirror and Twilight went after her, finding herself in a human version of her worlds. She and her new human friends retrieved the crown and defeated Sunset.

• As the Summer Sun Celebration approached, Twilight found herself worried about her new position as a princess. She had to rise up when Everfree Forest became monstrous and vines attacked Equestria, also capturing Celestia and Luna. With help from the hermit Zecora and a reformed Discord, Twilight discovered the Tree of Harmony where the Elements were first found. They returned the Elements to ti, undoing the damage and revealing a lockbox.

• The evil Lord Tirek arose and due to his ability to steal magic,t he princesses transferred theirs into Twilight. She had difficulty controlling it when Tirek attacked her, using her friends and Discord to make her surrender. Twilight gave up her magic, but this allowed her to be given a key for the lockbox by Discord and she and her friends unlocked a new power. They defeated Tirek, Twilight was given a castle, and was given the title of Princess of Friendship.

• Twilight receives a message from Sunset requesting her help as Sirens were draining negativity from people and causing chaos as a result. Twilight returned to the human world and did her best to help, becoming lead singer of the girls band. But the pressure was high for her and she nearly broke down when all seemed lost. Sunset snapped everyone to their senses and the seven girls defeated the Sirens.
  

  
  History: Twilight grew up in Canterlot, a town mainly populated by unicorns. She lived a happy life with her parents and her older brother Shining Armor, an aspiring royal guard and she also had her foalsitter Princess Cadence who she viewed as a sister. When at the Summer Sun Celebration she saw Princess Celestia rise the sun. Inspired, she began to study magic and her parents enrolled her in a special school. But during the entrance exam, an explosion caused Twilight’s powerful magic to be triggered and she caused chaos until Celestia calmed her. She recognized the filly’s potential and took her on as her student with Twilight gaining her Cutie Mark as well. For years, Twilight studied magic and became occupied with books and studying to the point that she alienated anyone who tried to be friends with her. Celestia therefore sent her and her assistant Spike to Ponyville where Twilight made friends with other ponies. After these friendships defeated the evil Nightmare Moon, Twilight chose to stay and study the ‘magic of friendship’.
  
  As time went on, Twilight’s bonds with her friends grew as she became more friendly and open. The true extent of this came when the evil being Discord was freed and changed her friends into the opposite of themselves with Twilight unable to help them. Devastated and abandoned, she was Discorded until Celestia sent her various letters to remind her of the friendships that she made which gave Twilight back her resolve. She saved her friends and they sealed Discord away once again. Consequently when worried that Celestia would separate her from her friends, she was so desperate that she magically created a problem to report with Celestia having to assure her that she would never do such a thing.
  
  Twilight’s challenges were far from over. Her brother and Cadence were to be married and she felt angry, sad, and worried about her brother and their growing distance. It led to her lashing out at Cadence and angering everypony, making her feel guilty. But ‘Cadence’ was a fake and Twilight was reunited with the real one when trapped in a cavern. They stopped the wedding and saved Shining Armor, who proceeded to save Equestria with Cadence. Twilight was later sent to the Crystal Empire to discover why it returned and she felt uncertain and worried about the task. She discovered that the ponies were under an evil influence but gave up her chance to end it and pass her test when trapped so that Spike could do it and stop the chaos. Spike succeeded but Twilight felt bad at failing, but her sacrifice allowed her to pass, much to her joy.
  
  After Celestia allowed Discord to be freed, Twilight was given the Elements of Harmony and sent a book She read a spell, discovering the next day that she accidently switched her friends Cutie Marks and therefore their destinies She was guilt-stricken, but the urge to save her friends gave her resolve to fix things and to finish an incomplete spell. Upon succeeding, Celestia turned her into an Alicorn and named her a princess due to realizing the magic of friendship. While grateful, Twilight was unsure if she was ready until when in the Crystal Empire, a unicorn named Sunset Shimmer stole the Element of Magic and escaped through a mirror. Twilight gave chase, finding herself in a human world and meeting the human versions of her friends who Sunset ripped apart. Twilight, unable to stand for this, restored the girls friendship and stood up against Sunset’s bullying. The six friends defeated Sunset with Twilight making her realize that with how she is now, she will be all alone. She returned to Equestria with more confidence in herself.
  
  While more confident Twilight still felt conflict about her ability to live up to her title. She was forced to take command when Everfree Forest went out of control and the Princesses were captured. She discovered the cause as the Tree of Harmony where the Elements were found, but due to the danger her friends sent her away. Discord berated her for willingly walking away, provoking Twilight to go back as well as realize that to undo the damage, the Elements were to be returned. The ponies saved Equestria, but also summoned a lockbox. Twilight realized that she could fulfill her duties, but she also wasn’t for sure what her duties were and felt upset about her lack of purpose. The princesses encouraged her to be patient before an emergency erupted with the rise of the power-draining Tirek. Worried and since Tirek didn’t know of Twilight, the princesses transferred their power into her. She faced Tirek once he discovered her, even losing her home, but she surrendered when her friends were threatened. She even asked for Discord to be freed despite betraying them and due to it, Discord have her a necklace that she realized was a key to the lockbox. The girls, using other keys that they gained, unlocked Rainbow Power, defeated Tirek, and a new castle arose. Twilight discovered her purpose as Princess of Friendship and her duty was to spread the magic of friendship.
  
  Twilight was again summoned to the human world when Sunset called her to help against the Sirens. Twilight did her best, knowing how her friends were expecting her to be able to help, but she felt pressured due to the expectations. When everyone argued more and it seemed like they were trapped, Twilight nearly broke until Sunset got them all to realize that they need to listen to each other for their friendship to survive and not be ripped apart. The girls escaped and faced the Sirens in a musical showdown, defeating the Sirens and neutralizing their ability to absorb negative emotion. Twilight, her job done, returned to Equestria with Sunset having a magic journal to talk to her, giving Twilight a student such as she was to Celestia.
  
  Personality: Princess Twilight Sparkle is a pony who is intelligent, studious, and determined to do her best. She is very talented at magic, as such since it is her special talent, and she has worked long and hard to become as good as she is. But due to it, she became more consumed with books than with making friends and it wasn’t until she went to Ponyville that she began to truly understand how valuable friendship is. As such she has gone from anti-social and closed up to a warm, friendly, and compassionate pony who is devoted to her friends and is always there to help them no matter what.
  
  Twilight is very humble and she tries her best to not be a show off, though she has realized that it’s okay to showcase her talents. She is a kind-hearted pony and she loves her friends, number one assistant Spike, her family, and her mentor Celestia very deeply. She has only shown romantic attraction to one person, Flash Sentry, a teenager that she met when in the human world. Though the feeling is mutual, they haven’t gotten together and even though a pony Flash exists, Twilight hasn’t formed any sort of relationship with him. Most of what she does is for her friends and to help other ponies while continuing her studies in the magic of friendship, soon excelling to the point that she became a princess, something that she is still shocked by but is finding her purpose in her new role and is very devoted to doing her best. Hobbies of hers include reading, studying, managing her library, and of course practicing magic. While more sociable, she never lost her love for reading and is more than happy to curl up with a book all day when she feels like it, only now she’ll invite friends to read with her.
  
  Though she is overall a friendly and selfless pony, Twilight is not without her faults. There are many things that she had to lean, such as accepting her friends for who they are even if she didn’t like a way that they acted and to not judge others by their interests and hobbies, worrying about Rarity when captured due to her proper interests only to see that she was able to handle herself. She can stress out very easily, especially when it comes to tests or if any fear of losing her friends comes up, almost going insane at the thought of being separated from them permanently. She can also be insensitive at times, once commenting that Pinkie Pie isn’t suited for caring for babies with her in earshot and while she wasn’t wrong, it was still insensitive to her friend. Though her getting truly angry is rare, she can be easily frustrated and annoyed when push comes to shove. She can also have a hard time forgiving others, such as Discord, though with time she will and even then she will defend a reformed person. She also feels confident and uncertain about things, such as her role as a princess and how well she can serve it, but her friends are always there to lift her up.
  
  Twilight is not perfect, nor will she ever claim to be. She is a hard worker- even if overly so and while she has her faults, she has learned to improve them. She has learned much from her time in Ponyville and even though she is now the Princess of Friendship, she knows that there is still plenty for her to learn. But she enjoys learning, so that is perfectly fine with her. Twilights’s devotion to both her duties and to her friends has shaped her into a mature, compassionate, and loving alicorn who no matter what, will never lose faith in her friends and will always face any evil that comes at her for the good of Equestria. Now her task is to spread the magic of friendship throughout Equestria, a task that she alongside her her friends will serve full-heartedly.

  
  Gem Considerations: Her Gem will be a Tanzanite. It will be shaped like a six-pointed star and be embedded in the middle of her forehead. The gem is known as the 'stone of magic' and the 'workaholic's stone', both fitting Twilgiht perfectly. Twilight can at times be over-stressed and is very much a workaholic, so the gem will help her learn to calm down and to be at ease more. It will also help her when she is feeling upset or uncertain about herself while strengthening her sense of harmony. It will let her evolve into a better person (pony?) and fee more confident as a princess and how to go about it.

  The powrcap will leave Twilight a little uncomfortable. But she has learned to deal without her magic before, so she can again. But due to her experience with magic and her abilities not being too horribly different from what she already knows, it wouldn't take her long at all to control and master it. It would still take practice, but she'd adapt to it fairly well.
